Key And Immobiliser Coding
This is a new service to VTune Leeds that enhances and compliments our existing portfolio of services . We are now able to offer the recoding of factory fitted car immobilisers or remote locking fobs.
When the remote fails it may be just the doors that won’t unlock, however in some cases the remote may immobilise the vehicle too. This may not be too much of an issue if a spare key is available and this always helps as a new fob can generally be programmed from an existing one. The issue escalates however when you have been using the spare fob and that fails too, both you and your car may be stranded. Our new technology solves this relatively common issue.
Vtune Leeds have invested in special diagnostic equipment that can turn off the factory immobiliser and program a new remote to the cars ECU. Most cars can be recoded, including popular models such as Renaults, Rovers and Vauxhalls.
Due to the very nature of the potential issues a failed key fob repesents the recoding service is available as a mobile service to home or work premises. Please Note that a valid proof of I.D is required, usually a photo driving licence, before any work can commence.
